Your personal details are kept secure and will only be used for research purposes. Research conducted by the Panel of The Hague University of Applied Sciences is carried out in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Research and Statistics.
In brief, your data will only be used for research purposes of the Panel of The Hague University of Applied Sciences. We will never use your data to sell you anything. Your details will never be shared with third parties and are processed and reported anonymously to The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Your degree programme or lecturers will never know what you answered.
The Panel of The Hague University of Applied Sciences is not trying to sell or advertise anything to you. We will treat all your data confidentially and will not use it for sales purposes. Your details will not be transferred to third parties.
The Panel of The Hague University of Applied Sciences is managed by market research agency Ruigrok. Ruigrok is affiliated with the Market Research Association (MOA) and ESOMAR. Ruigrok is also a member of the Research Certification group and ISO certified (ISO 20252 and ISO 26362 for access panels and ISO 27001 for information security).
As a member of the MOA, Ruigrok NetPanel conducts all of its market research in compliance with the international market research code drawn up by the European Market Research Association (ESOMAR) in cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The company also adheres to the Data Protection Code of Conduct.
The International Market Research Code regulates the ethical and business principles of conducting market research and opinion polls, such as:

Your personal data will be used exclusively for research purposes and will be treated in the strictest confidence by our staff members and the contracted research agency.
The data you provide to us for research purposes is always processed anonymously. It's never analysed on an individual basis. Your answers are always separated from your contact information (email address).
To conduct in-depth analyses, we may want to link your answers to your study progress data (for example: BSA, completion of foundation programme and number of credits obtained). Your email address will be used to make the link; we will always ask for your explicit permission per survey. You are not obligated to give permission for this. After the survey is completed, your email address will be deleted.
Your contact information (email address) will not be used for commercial purposes and are never shared with third parties. We will only use your email address to invite you for research purposes or to communicate with you about this.
We use the personal data (age, gender, education, etc.) you provide to invite specific panel members to participate in research. For example: students or staff members. We also use this information to interpret the survey results.
You have the right at any time during or after a survey to request the destruction or removal of your answers.
Your personal data are stored in a database. The server hosting this database is protected against intrusion by firewalls, authentication and encryption.
You can view and, if necessary, correct your personal data on your own personal page. This page is only accessible to you, via a secure Internet connection. Other panel members have no access to your data! To log into your personal page, you must enter your own login name and password.
The web application used for research is also protected by authentication (login and password). Your answers are therefore not accessible to other panel members.
The surveys are conducted upon the request of The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Your data will only be used for these surveys.
The software used has security settings to ensure that information is not lost, misused or altered. Only authorised personnel have access to your data and only for analysis and quality control purposes.
